Entering the 21st century, paradigm shifts are occurring everywhere due to environmental problems, economic globalization, and technological innovation. Efforts for a decarbonized society are a universal issue, and in the revision of the Montreal Protocol Kigali, the importance of measures against fluorocarbons is very specifically emphasized, and the problem of plastic disposal and marine pollution caused by waste plastics are being emphasized. Is also a difficult subject.
The momentum for corporate management, product development, and distribution that does not place a burden on the global environment is increasing more than ever. Furthermore, under such circumstances, people's orientation and value consciousness toward consumption are changing rapidly, and the "era in which only good products need to be made" has long ended. The industrial world has no choice but to make a big turn, and companies that cannot realize a carbon-free society are destined to disappear. Investors who participated in COP25 even say that they can no longer invest in companies that do not have CSR.
Looking back on the activities of our ancestors, Japan has the tradition and culture of making things centered on nature from ancient times, as well as the wisdom and creativity that we have nurtured so far. With such ideas and measures, I believe that Japanese industry can lead the world in new directions. Our team "Corporate Design Committie" will continue to think together with the companies and continue to study together to develop together.
